The Annual Hibernian Saint Patricks Day Banquet is set for Six P.M. Saturday, March 7, upstairs at Kells. If you’ve signed up you’ll be receiving an email with these details. Looking forward to seeing you there.

Two Big Things

One. If you haven’t paid in advance please bring CASH OR A CHECK. $55 for adults. $35 for kids. Raffle tickets $1 each.

Two. If you’ve signed up but find out you can’t make it PLEASE EMAIL Portlandhiberniansociety@gmail.com or call me at 503-939-8732. There’s probably going to be a waiting list.

What to know about the Hibernian Banquet

There will be the quality, carvery Irish-style buffet that we’ve come to count on from Kells. SPECIAL GUESTS - The Cary Novotny Trio. Poet Frank Holt. Father Jim Galluzzo. Yeates Academy Dancers. You.

Doors Open - Six P.M. Irish tunes. No host bar. (Three worst words in the English language. Anon.)

Seating - Six Thirty P.M. When you hear Tim Birr’s bagpiping that’s the sign to find your table.

Tables - You’ll be assigned to a table when you check in.

Buffet - Six Forty Five P.M. Menu - Kells salad, Delmonico potatoes, Corned Beef, Cabbage w/ bacon and carrots, Rolls, Assorted desserts. Vegetarian/vegan options available by pre-arrangement. Blessing by Jim Galluzzo.

Program - Seven Thirty P.M. - No speeches. Poetry from Dubliner Frank Holt.
